ABC Contracting: 2-2015 to 8-2015

ABC Contracting performs structural concrete projects nationwide. Projects range from 1 million to 65 million dollars. Projects are primarily in the steel and manufacturing facility industries.

Sr. Estimator:

Most recent project was the structural concrete construction of over fourty buildings and process facilities, ranging in size from 50,000 sf. to over 1,000,000,000 sf. at the Big River Steel Company in Osceola, Arkansas. This project represented over $80,000,000,000 in gross costs. Performed quantity take offs of concrete, reinforcing steel, anchors and embeded steel items. Assigned crew sizes and equipment groups to estimates. Estimated labor and equipment productivity rates, materials and small tools and supplies. Created client proposals. Reviewed plan delta changes and created change order estimates when required.

 

Parsons Corporation, Re-Hire: 1-2013 to 1-2015

Parsons Corporation is one of the world’s top ten, construction/engineering and project management companies, with over 12,000 employees and over 2 billion dollars in project back log.

Principal Estimator:

Latest assignment was in Los Angeles at the Hyperion Waste Water Treatment Facility. Prepared RS Means based, Class “A” capitol improvement estimates for large industrial facility additions, retrofits and repairs. Estimated complete electrical, mechanical, structural and infrastructure projects ranging in cost from $50,000 to $250,000,000.  Oversaw and negotiated all change order requests. Reviewed contractor estimates to verify SOW completeness. Assisted in developing work schedules.

Estimated labor, materials and equipment costs of hundreds of military single & multifamily residential housing units, nationwide. Specialized in Air Force and Marine Base work. Review plans & specifications, sourced value engineering proposals, created and managed RFI documents, estimated and reviewed contractor change orders, interfaced with clients, engineers and architects. Reviewed and evaluated subcontractor proposals, prepared procurement and contract documents. Worked onsite and office based for over 20 projects from Hawaii to the East Coast. Procurement :

Developed and implemented parsonsbidcenter.com and procured and used BidMail, an RFP program. Plans,    specifications and instructions to bidders were displayed on parsonsbidcenter.com website and solicited subcontractor hard bids through BidMail.

 

BIRD CONSTRUCTION, USA: 1-2001 to 4-2004

Bird Construction USA was the Salt Lake City branch office of Bird Construction Canada, a $650,000,000 per year company that built construction projects of all types.

Estimating and Procurement Support: Responsibilities included estimating, finding subcontractors and suppliers for projects.  Projects included the awarding of nine zones of GSA, IDIQ United States Border Stations, totaling, $585,000,000. Additional awards totaling over $45,000,000 included Star Valley Medical Center, Evanston Adult Care Facility, Wygen Power Plant, WY, Several Salt Lake City International Airport projects including the construction of Terminal 1 addition and other various Utah projects.

 

ADVANCED INTERIOR SYSTEMS: 4-1998 to 1-2001

Advanced Interior Systems is a Salt Lake City based Commercial Tenant Improvement Construction Company.

Field Superintendent: Responsibilities included scheduling and inspected all subcontractors work from lay out through completion and turn over of projects. Completed over 20 projects, 5 at SLC International Airport, ranging from $50,000 to $4,000,000.

 

RICE DEVELOPMENT. INC.: 1-1996 to 4-1998

Rice Development Inc. was a Salt Lake City based Home Builder that built over 500 homes in Utah.

Field Superintendent: Responsibilities included scheduling and inspecting all subcontractors work from infrastructure through punch out and turn over to home owners. Managed the construction of 125 homes priced from $86,000 to $195,000.

COLEMAN AND ASSOCIATES, INC.: 3-1992 to 1-1996

Coleman and Associates was a Santa Fe New Mexico based Custom Home Builder.

Construction Manager and Estimator: Responsibilities included managing the day to day field and office operations, estimating, writing and managing contracts with subcontractors. Projects ranged from $300,000 to $3,250,000.

 

LOS ANGELES LAND COMPANY, INC.: 4-1985 to 1-1992

Los Angeles Land Company was a Los Angeles, California based commercial builder and Development Company.

Glasswood Inc. was a Los Angeles California based commercial tenant improvement, Construction Company.
